So the Counter is working in full swing now, but I'm considering some changes to its behavior. Currently you can attach mileage to indoor workouts if you keep track of it- I know mileage on rollers can be pretty close to what you would see outdoors. Matt suggested the possibility of assigning a low average speed to indoor workouts without distance and automatically calculating distance (~15mph or so). If you like the idea, let me know and I'll get it going.
We also want to set a goal for the year- How does the circumference of the earth sound? I think 20-something people can manage it in a whole year. What about a goal for time?
Any other ideas are welcome.
Sorry, but I vote that indoor miles don't count. Indoor hours yes, indoor "miles" no. Even though the garmin will track miles on rollers, I keep track of total time (spinning, rollers, outdoor riding) and outdoor miles separately.
