Mileage Counter Stuff

So the Counter is working in full swing now, but I'm considering some changes to its behavior. Currently you can attach mileage to indoor workouts if you keep track of it- I know mileage on rollers can be pretty close to what you would see outdoors. Matt suggested the possibility of assigning a low average speed to indoor workouts without distance and automatically calculating distance (~15mph or so). If you like the idea, let me know and I'll get it going.

We also want to set a goal for the year- How does the circumference of the earth sound? I think 20-something people can manage it in a whole year. What about a goal for time?

Any other ideas are welcome.

  1. Sorry, but I vote that indoor miles don't count. Indoor hours yes, indoor "miles" no. Even though the garmin will track miles on rollers, I keep track of total time (spinning, rollers, outdoor riding) and outdoor miles separately.
